Spammy Yummy Discussion (usually abbreviated to SYD) is a subforum of the Fallout Studios forums, and is the home of inane banter on Fallout Studios.

Overview
Anything within the forum rules can be posted in SYD, particularly more humorous things that have no real value otherwise. However to compensate for the random spamming that generally occurs in this forum, posts that are made here do not increase the poster's total post count. The Serial Spammers forum, a subforum of SYD, contains many of the post based games on the forum which would otherwise only clog up the main forum and make posts unfindable.
The forum is the frequent home of memes, including the Red ShockWave Army and Hat in the Hell. There are a number of pinned threads for continual use by the members, these include The official Post your Desktop Thread, Funny quotes and the Funny image dump. SYD is also used to post congratulatory threads for post count milestones.
On the front of the forums, SYD welcomes members with the tag line: Hungry? Taste the spam! Nonsense, stupidity, anything you can dream of. It's here!
History
Spammy Yummy Discussion is one of the few older forums that never changed name in at least some way. The name was initially conceived by Chrizz sometime in 2004, and has since become so iconic to Fallout Studios that it was never changed. At the start, post increase was still enabled for the forum. But after a while, people were spamming nonsensical stuff just to increase their post count, so it was decided to remove that feature. Nevertheless, the post counts of some of the oldest members on the forums are still partly from posts made in SYD years ago.
