Laser Ranger

  • Cost: 225

These well-trained, well-armed soldiers form the core of the USA's infantry forces. The Capture Buildings upgrade makes them able to capture buildings, and the Flash Bangs upgrade makes them able to fire flash bangs, which can clear soldiers from garrisoned buildings and do damage to groups of infantry units in the open. Additionally, Rangers can rappel down from Chinooks.

The Laser Ranger uses an advanced laser rifle instead of an assault rifle. These fire short yet powerful laser bursts which quickly dispose of enemy infantry and do quite some damage to light vehicles.

Capture Building

Orders the Ranger to capture a building, to be used for the USA's forces.

Laser Rifle mode

Makes the Laser Ranger use his laser rifle to engage enemy units.

Flash Bang mode

Makes the Laser Ranger use flash bangs to engage enemy forces; these can clear a single enemy unit from garrisons each.

Laser Defender

The Laser Defender is a soldier armed with a modified missile launcher, which is effective against enemy tanks, light vehicles and aircraft. The missile launcher comes with an automatic laser lock, which guides the missile into weak spots of the target unit, allowing the Laser Defender to more effectively hit its target than the standard USA counterpart. The laser lock can, in contrast to Missile Defenders, also be used when firing out of buildings or vehicles with fireports.

Pathfinder

A sniper wearing a ghillie suit, who can't be seen when not moving. Not even revealing himself when firing, the Pathfinder is just about the worst thing that can happen to an infantry column. Pathfinders are also perfect for putting inside Humvees and garrisonable structures.

Laser Burton

With multiple of tools and weapons at his disposal, Colonel Burton is able to create havoc in lots of ways. He can kill infantry and light vehicles with ease and can demolish buildings and heavy units with his demo charges.

Burton receives an experimental laser rifle instead of the standard issue assault rifle. This new laser rifle shoots concentrated laser bursts which cause instant death to infantry and do heavy damage to vehicles. Once Burton receives his Special Equipment kit, he can use a grenade launcher attached to his laser cannon with which he can shoot high explosive grenades over long distances.

Laser Rifle

Selects Burton's laser rifle. This weapon is most suited for attacking infantry, though it is pretty effective against light vehicles and structures as well.

Knife

Selects the knife, for making stealthy infantry kills.

Grenade Launcher

Selects the Grenade Launcher. This long-ranged weapon is effective against all ground targets.

Timed Demo Charge

Places a timed demo charge on the selected target. The charge will detonate after twenty seconds.

Remote Demo Charge

Places a remote demo charge on the selected target. The charge will not detonate until the Detonate Charges ability is used. If Colonel Burton is killed before he detonates them, any placed remote demo charges will disappear.

Detonate Charges

Immediately detonates all Remote Demo Charges that have been placed.
