Reading the FSDB will not record any information more than is recorded by visiting most other websites. To contribute requires a login where more information will be stored. Contributions will be recorded indefinitely unless extreme circumstances warrant their removal.

If you contribute while logged in (as it the only method the FSDB allows for contributions) then your name will be recorded with the content you have altered. The IP you use to make a contribution can be traced by members who have access to the Check user tool.

A cookie will be generated when you log in and this will remain until manually removed or until you use the log out function. Passwords are required to log in to an account and are the only guarantee of a User's edit history, the FSDB will never knowingly disclose passwords to another user directly or indirectly.

The logs of the IPs used on the FSDB may be used by server administrators in the case of faults on the FSDB or websites housed on the same server, this will be to prevent malicious use, such as abuse or spamming of the FSDB. Information will only be released if

  • 1) Under a compulsory request by a law enforcement agency with jurisdiction of the data.
  • 2) To find the source of abuse
  • 3) When it is necessary to protect the FSDB or its operators
  • 4) With the permission of the user in question

The FSDB does not distribute information to third parties.

Any information collated on the FSDB is accessible by the persons responsible for maintaining the server the FSDB is hosted on.

Data on users is available in the User contributions section of any user. Once created an account will not be removed, however it may be blocked to prevent further contributions.

The FSDB does not delete content and any information created can be viewed by a person with the appropriate access rights.
