Administrators)
The Fallout Studios staff is made up of the leadership (administrators) and the moderating team (various division-specific staff). Decisions are normally made by the administrators in private, but they have discussed changes in policy with the moderating team. On some occasions, public referendums and polls have also been held on the forums, allowing all Fallout Studios members to have their say. Decisions are made by a democratic process with all people involved having one vote.
Leadership
The leadership of Fallout Studios consists of the administrators. These members are the core of Fallout Studios staff and are responsible for maintaining all areas of the community.
The administrators hold the responsibility for keeping the forum clean, locking topics and resolving issues when needed, and are the group which does the majority of the decision-making regarding the running and direction of the Fallout Studios network. Additionally they are responsible for the forum structure, by creating, moving and rearranging forums as the need arises. Finally, they are responsible for ensuring integrity of the website as a whole, and making sure things keep working on the technical level. Some administrators have additional responsibilities as maintainers, such as CodeCat who has end responsibility for the IRC channel and Data Bunker, and Bob who manages the site. The administrators have the rank of Bureaucrats on the FSDB.

Moderating team
The moderating team fulfills a support role on Fallout Studios, helping the administrators out in certain areas or focusing on a single area rather than the entire community at once. Their primary task is to spot potential problems, keep things organised and to deal with members causing trouble. Most moderators only help out in one or two divisions, acting as regular members on the others.
Forums
The Global moderators group was added in May 2008 to help keep the Fallout Studios forums in order without requiring the high level of participation and involvement that comes with being an administrator. Global moderators can moderate any forum, but they have the same access restrictions as normal members and can therefore not see hidden forums.
Forum moderators are similar to global moderators, but they moderate only a small subset of the Fallout Studios forums. They are generally selected to moderate areas where they are active, and often have a high level of expertise in the subject of the forum(s) they moderate.

IRC channel
The Fallout Studios IRC channel is infrequently used by the bulk of the moderating team, so it was decided to promote several regular and trusted users to the rank of (half) operator. They can perform basic moderating functions such as kick and ban, but they do not have access to the more sensitive functions of IRC. Halfops are also unable to promote people to anything other than voiced (+v).

Data Bunker
As a result of time constraints it was decided to create a position to moderate the Fallout Studios Data Bunker with no duties on the forums, similar to the forums' Global and Forum moderator groups. Any member promoted to this group has been placed in the FSDB:Moderators group.

Game servers
With the addition of the Fallout Studios game servers, additional people to keep an eye on the servers during times of activity were called for. These people have the power to kick, ban and perform various other actions on the servers.

Defunct staff groups
Staff
Like administrators, staff were responsible for keeping the forum clean, locking topics and resolving issues when needed. Together with the administrators, they took part in decision making on Fallout Studios. Staff members were responsible for the entire forum, and could see all individual forums including hidden ones. At the beginning of May 2009, the Staff group was merged with the Administrator group on Fallout Studios, to create a better administrating team that is now entirely capable of performing all the tasks that Administrators can.
